With so much wrong going on in the world right now (see more details on Why Plant-Based Lifestyle? page), it is of ultimate importance that you get yourself involved.
Big change starts with you, be sure to try our Plant-Based Meal Plan Challenge and follow our Start Here steps. Get involved by nominating a friend to do this challenge too. I will personally plant the tree in the nearby park or forest per each introduction.
How else you can help animals and our world?
I appreciate you have a busy life and I am thankful for your willingness to try the suggested Plant-Based Challenge for a week. It is a start! However, you can also get involved by giving a helping hand to charities that do awesome work to help protect innocent animals across the world. Your donation worth just a few cups of coffee or more can help save hundreds of precious lives.
Here are some suggestions grouped by location. Many thanks for your support.
USA
PETA is arguably the biggest charity that strives to protect animals from harm and abuse. They also offer a wonderfully designed Vegan Starter Kit for free. Check it our or alternatively, here is a direct link to donate some money.
Animal Welfare Institute is a charity created back in 1951 with an aim to help reduce animal suffering caused by people. With a multitude of programs and regular publications, no wonder people are grateful for their work. Direct link to donate and help them is here.
Friends of Animals is a charity that offers targeted help with your pets, namely assisting with spray / neuter certificates and by providing information on animal welfare and rights. Logically, they advocate for a vegan lifestyle. You can help them achieve their mission by donating here.
UK
The Vegan Society is UK’s largest charity that advocated vegan lifestyle. If anything, it was them who have coined the word ‘vegan’ back in 1944. Vegan Society is responsible for a Vegan trademark, so all vegan products can be certified as such. They publish a quarterly The Vegan magazine and operate a Shop if you are keen on their merchandise. You can donate to help them or even join the society with membership options start at £30 a year.
PETA UK is British branch of the above mentioned charity. You can also request a free Vegan Starter Kit to be sent to you. Here is a direct link to donate some money to them.
WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) is a charity that strives for a natural world for future generations. They are offering to adopt an animal or donate some money to support their activities.
Blue Cross is an animal charity that caters for sick, abandoned and injured pets. They were established back in 19th century and doing a great job. I invite everyone who can spare a few pounds to donate, they also sell promotional merchandise in order to raise money to support animals. Click here to access Blue Cross Shop.
RSPCA is a charity that actually rescues animals across the UK. You can rehome a pet, you can foster a pet, they have a very convenient animal search facility too. If your schedule or living situation doesn’t allow it, please donate to support their activities. I do that too.
Battersea Dogs and Cats Home will always have a special place in my heart as this is where I found Lucky. He was lucky to find me too I guess. Browse their pet gallery to find your match, become a volunteer or donate to support their invaluable work. I do that too via direct debit and what I love about them is that the money are going directly to support their pets, I do not receive glossy magazines or expensive marketing from them.
EU
PETA has also additional branches in France, here is a link to PETA France; in Germany – click here to access PETA Germany; in the Netherlands – click here for Dutch PETA;
Rest of the World
PETA is also present in India and Australia; with the regional branches for Asia, China, and Latin America.
Help me to plant more trees
Even though I am doing the best I can do to lead by example (I am vegan and also adopted a pet from a shelter), I would like to do even more.
I will appreciate your kind donation that will go two different ways: half of the raised money will be spent to plant trees in the nearby parks and forests; half of it will go towards the promotion of my Start Here! plant-based plan to get more people involved.
Please donate to support Kind Healthy Lifestyle activities.
